How the evening sails by

    WELCOME

    Cold lemonade and a glass of assyrtiko under the olive trees.

  2. 19:00

    CEREMONY

    On the terrace, with the whole island below us.

  3. 20:15

    SUNSET DRINKS

    A glass in hand as the sun slips into the sea.

  4. 21:00

    DINNER

    One long table: fava, tomato fritters and fish from the morning boats.

  5. 22:30

    FIRST DANCE

    Under the string lights, barefoot if we must.

  6. 23:30

    FIREWORKS

    Over the whole island. Look up.

OUR STORY

It started on a ferry

We met on the slow ferry from Piraeus, both on the wrong deck and both a little seasick. By the time Santorini came into view we had shared a bag of koulouri and made plans for dinner. Five summers later we are going back to the island to say yes.

Dress code

Summer linen in light colours, and flat shoes for the cobbled lanes of Pyrgos.

Getting there

A minibus leaves Fira at 18:00 and brings everyone back after the fireworks.

Good to know

Pyrgos sits high and the breeze picks up after dark. Bring a light layer, you will want it for the fireworks.
