How the night unfolds

    CEREMONY

    On the top terrace, the caldera at our feet.

  2. 19:32

    THE SUNSET

    A glass of assyrtiko as the sun slips into the sea.

  3. 20:30

    DINNER

    One long table under the lanterns: fava, tomato fritters, fish from the grill.

  4. 22:00

    FIRST DANCE

    Under the moon, with the string lights on.

  5. 22:30

    THE LANTERNS

    One each. We light them all together on the terrace, the whole caldera below us.

  6. 23:00

    DANCING

    Until the last lantern burns down, and long after.

OUR STORY

It started with a lantern

We met at a summer festival on the beach in Perissa, the night everyone lit a paper lantern. Isla's would not light. Theo had a lighter. Six years later we are going back to the same island to light a few hundred more, with all of you.

Dress code

Evening on the caldera: midnight blues, blush, a little gold if you like. Flat shoes, the terraces have steps.

Getting there

A coach leaves the main square in Fira at 17:30 and runs back every hour from midnight.

Good to know

It gets cool over the water once it is dark. Bring a shawl, and keep your lantern for the end of the night.
